How the reading is made

Where the sky comes from

Every planetary position in your reading is computed from the Swiss Ephemeris, the same astronomical dataset professional astrologers and observatories rely on. Your natal chart is cast once from your birth date, time, and place, and stored. Daily transits are computed fresh each morning against that chart.

Nothing celestial in a reading is improvised. If the reading names Mercury retrograde, Mercury is retrograde.

What your birth time changes

Your Rising sign and house positions depend on the time of day you were born. When you have given us a birth time, the reading uses them. When you have not, the reading works honestly from what it has — Sun, Moon by sign, and the day's transits — and says nothing that would require houses. We never substitute noon and pretend.

If you find your time later, add it once and the houses open from the next reading on.

What the reading knows about you

Beyond the chart: the season you told us you are in ('Which room are you in?'), the reader voice you chose, what recurred across your recent readings, and — on Devoted and above — the patterns the practice has accumulated. That is the whole file. Readings are written to you, in the voice you chose, against that context.

What a progressed chart is used for

Secondary progressions move your natal chart forward symbolically — a day for a year — and are the classical tool for reading the chapter of life you are in, as distinct from the weather of the week. Sacred readings and Counsel resolutions draw on your progressed chart for exactly that: which chapter of a pattern you are in, not fortune-telling about its outcome.

How Counsel is assembled

You bring a real question, its timing, and its stakes. The Counsel reads them against your chart and, when you include them, a drawn tarot card and an I Ching hexagram — used as reflection structures, mirrors for the question, never as verdicts. The first movement names what is already in the room. The resolution, on Sacred, draws on your progressed chart.

Counsel never tells you what to decide. It returns the question in a shape you can act on.

What is never done

No invented placements: if a datum is not computed, it is not claimed. No houses from an unverified birth time. No manufactured urgency — eclipses arrive on the calendar's schedule, not marketing's. No diagnosis, no medical, legal, or financial advice, and in seasons of grief or crisis the reading receives rather than assigns.

Every reading passes voice and safety checks before it reaches you. If one fails, you get silence over something false.
